Talent Match helps young people who are furthest from the jobs market, including those who are completely outside of benefits, work and the training system and facing severe barriers to gaining the skills they need to get into work.
Talent Match will boost opportunities for young people in these areas by bringing together partnerships of employers, education providers and others, led by local charities.
The investment was co-designed with young people, both centrally and in each of the 21 partnership areas, and will continue to have young people at the heart of decision making throughout the programme.

At the start of Talent Match, I was in a bad state, living with my ex-girlfriend and unable to look for a stable career path. I found myself just living day to day life of JSA (Job seekers allowance) “Existing” if you like. Mike contacted me via Talent Match Facebook chat and told me all about the Talent Match scheme. We began working together and over time I was able to move forward and work towards my goal of becoming a “Professional Youth Worker”.
Since starting Talent Match In October I moved into the YMCA Gordon Anstis House, feeling settled I started to look for work. So far I have worked at Batchley Fish bar and Iceland’s, I have gained a great variety of qualifications and much more. I am Currently working for Batchley Support Group as sessional worker, which is youth work based.
